EVERY SINGLE SUNDAY you can learn to draw with Cartoon Dave in the SUNDAY TELEGRAPH's 'FUNDAY TELEGRAPH' full colour liftout! Been doing it each weekend for more than a year now - that's a lot of learn-to-draw action!! (Check out this week's... it's one of my favourites!) If you're up for it, get someone you know to grab you the Sunday Telegraph EVERY single Sunday there is (but don't try to buy it on a Wednesday, Thursday or 4am on a Tuesday 'cos you'll be out of luck). Go on...

With three UFO novels under my belt, I'm currently writing the fourth (it won't be in stores for a while yet, though) plus a new book for the littlies... the 'early readers' crowd. It's a cracker of a book, and it should be hitting stores in February 2009 (just a few sleeps to go!! Woohoo!!!) There'll be more info on that soon, and a sneak preview coming up for members of the kids club ...
Plus, you can Read the first chapter of each of my novels NOW! That's right - put down that deep fried squirrel on a stick, click on 'DAVE'S BOOKS' and print out the first chapter of any of my three novels. That way, you'll be able to get the flavour of the book before you go off and buy a billion copies for everyone you know. Cool, huh?

CARTOON DAVE (that's me) has just recorded a new season's worth of famous face caricatures for that fab show 'IT'S ACADEMIC' (Channel 7, 4:30pm). I'm pretty sure that you can see me each FRIDAY, so stay tuned! Oh,
You've probably seen me hanging out with Kell & Palmer on TOASTED TV (network Ten, weekdays 7am - 8.30). I was there in October doing some wacky craft and cartoony stuff, and there's a good chance I'll be doing the SeaWorld jiggle with them again some time soon, so stay tuned...

What Cartoon Dave is up to at this very second...
READING: At the moment, I'm pouring through the groovily fab 'Kids Night In' books (both number 1 and number 2). They're jam-packed with pics, stories and poems by a whole stack of highly important and attractive Aussie authors. What do I like about them? The stories are SHORT, which means that if you have a spare three minutes, you can belt your way through a cracking read!
WATCHING: : Right this second I'm being subjected to 'In the night garden'. That Macca Pacca - what a great actor.
Also, I'm doing Tuesday nights with 'Packed to the Rafters' (good viewing for the 'Mums & Dads' crowd), plus I've been sucked in by Idol again. Have to admit, I'm a bit surprised that the sheep bloke is still there, but hey... good luck to him!
LISTENING TO: As you may or may not know (which I think covers everybody) I recently had a birthday, and the birthday fairy brought me lots of music (yay!). Here is just a selection of what I've been wrapping my ears around lately - it's a varied and mixed bag, so be warned. Oh, and satisfy your curiosity by checking some of the music out for yourself:
Panic! At the Disco - A fever you can't sweat out Regina Spektor - Beign to hope (this gal is wickety-wacky... but soooo groovy) John Mayer - Live in Los Angeles (he's just a total dude - legendary guitar) James Morrison - Songs for you, truths for me Sara Bareilles - Little Voice (this girl is amazing!) Paolo Nutini - These Streets (pick this one up... seriously!) Fallout Boy - Songs from the Cork Tree (cool early album. Dance Dance is the first video of theirs I remember seeing on 'V') The Killers - Sawdust (just B-sides and leftovers, but there's some GREAT killers stuff here!) Jason Mraz - Waiting for my Rocket (Better than his latest one... great stuff!) 'Across the Universe' Movie Soundtrack (Awesome re-workings of the Beatles songs... brilliant - just check out Bono's 'I am the Walrus' and Eddie Izzard's wack-licious 'For the benefit of Mister Kite')
plus, I'm digging Gabriella Cilmi, a touch of the Kanye's and the odd spot of the Presets (talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, like, like, like, like, like, that, that...)
